DREAMING GOD'S DREAMS
"May God grant us the grace to have faith in a future that
transforms our imaginations and makes it possible for us to live for impossible
possibilities, for dreams that correspond with God's."
- John Westerhoff III

THE CROSS AND OUR DAYS
"In any given situation, the cross is the heaviest
piece of furniture to move, and Christians are charged with the considerable
task of picking it up and carrying it every single day."

REMEMBER AND WAIT
The past and the future. Memory and expectation. Remember and hope.
Remember and wait. Wait for him whose face we all of us know because
somewhere in the past we have faintly seen it, whose life we all of us
thirst for because somewhere in the past we have seen it lived, have
maybe even had moments of living it ourselves. Remember him who himself
remembers us as he promised to remember the thief who died beside him.
To have faith is to remember and wait, and to wait in hope is to have
what we hope for already begin to come true in us through our hoping.
Praise him.

FAITH AND PURPOSE
“If the blind put their hands in God’s, they find their way more surely

FOLLOWING JESUS
“Those who aren't following Jesus aren't his followers. It's that
simple. Followers follow, and those who don't follow aren't followers.
To follow Jesus means to follow Jesus into a society where justice
rules, where love shapes everything. To follow Jesus means to take up
his dream and work for it.”

SILENCE
"Thought
on the way to work... The reason we keep silent about Jesus is not
because we are scared of a no. We are used to no. No ends the
conversation. What we are truly scared of is a yes." - Daniel Murray, ministerial student posting on Facebook

SUBMITTING TO GOD
"We are not merely imperfect creatures who must be improved: we are, as Newman said, rebels who must lay down our arms." CS Lewis
