PROPER WORSHIP

Whenever the method of worship becomes more important than the Person of worship, we have already prostituted our worship. There are entire congregations who worship praise and praise worship but who have not yet learned to praise and worship God in Jesus Christ. - Judson Cornwall

SAVING THE MIND

The problem is not only to win souls but to save minds. If you win the whole world and lose the mind of the world, you will soon discover you have not won the world. Indeed, it may turn out you have actually lost the world.

JOY IN JESUS

An overcast day may try to cast shadows on my joy in Jesus.  Even when the weather and recent circumstances try to steal my joy, I understand that it can never be stolen.  I can give it away, I can forget it for a time, but nobody can steal it.  I am responsible to cling to Christ and to hold on with dear life to His joy.  Laughter may elude me, smiles may not come as often for a time, but the joy of the Lord is my strength and I will not relinquish it. - Rich Thornton
